Bug Description

After starting xvd from a terminal it spits out this:

** (xfce4-volumed:23107): DEBUG: The wanted card could not be found, using the first one instead.

** (xfce4-volumed:23107): DEBUG: There is no track label stored in xfconf

** (xfce4-volumed:23107): DEBUG: The wanted track could not be found, using the first one instead.

** (xfce4-volumed:23107): DEBUG: Current track has no volume channels, defaulting volume to 0.

** (xfce4-volumed:23107): DEBUG: Xfconf volume step: 5

And is unable to control the volume. xfce4-mixer works fine though, so it cannot be a gstreamer problem.

Could you please output the list of cards available in your XFCE4 Mixer configuration? You can see it using xfce4-settings-editor, and checking the "sound-cards" setting in the "xfce4-mixer" Xfconf channel. Thanks.

I have the same problem as Christoph. xfce4-mixer works with
OSS but xfce4-volumed doesn't. I don't use the whole Xfce
desktop environment. I only use its xfce4-notifyd and would
like to use xfce4-volumed. I just launch my programs from a
systemd user instance with XMonad being my window manager.

xfce4-mixer's sound card is
HighDefinitionAudioSTAC9200OSSv4AudioMixer.

I have attached my
$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-mixer.xml
