Bug Description

When using xfce with multiple workspaces, Notes 1.7.7 opens in whichever workspace the computer happens to start-up on. It is then not apparently possible to move Notes to the workspace where the user would like to put it.

So, for example, Notes does not provide the usual <right-click> option of putting it in another workspace.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1185345/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

A point of usability. It is not obvious. But if you click the Notes icon in the watsit panel then the open note appears in whatever workspace you happen to have open.

I.e. you've got 9 workspaces. The computer starts-up on Wkspc 5. That's where the note will open. You want the note in workspace 1: switch to workspace 1; click the notes icon. The note will then move to the current workspace (1).

So there is a way to do it.

But this is still a problem: not being able to treat the note as any other window, and right-click it to another workspace. This simple thing might save other users the same trouble.
