Bug Description
It's greatly possible to set up a xcp-xapi server based on Saucy Salamander. XenCenter or OpenXenManager can connect succesfully to the this host and manage it. Linux based PVs can be set up and do run like a charm.
Except a PV which should be installed with Ubuntu LTS 12.04 (Precise Pangolin), this PV does die without any error directly on first start. It doesn't make any differerence which existing templates has been cloned to provide one for precise. I cloned Wheezy, Lucid and Maverick, no success. I could install Wheezy, Lucid, Raring, Saucy, even Trusty from any of the other cloned templates, but not Precise.
I always wondered why the Citrix guys did provide a special template for Precise in XenServer 6.2.0, I guess there's maybe any context.
And additionaly the provided templates are pretty old, newest Ubuntu in there is Maverick Meerkat, newest Windows Server is 2008r2. Come on, time has gone forward, you deliver pretty new Xen 4.3, compared to 4.1.5 in XenServer 6.2.0, but that old templates ... ?
