Upstream now just needs testing and a single test to be fixed. Can someonemake a testing ppa fom their VCS?

If someone does want to make packages, the best starting point is the 1.3.1-based packages here:

wily (15.10) now has a python3-xapian1.3 package, based on the upstream 1.3.3 development release.
