It works, thanks! I put the two hook files in a "hooks" directory in my source root, and then in the packaging I added a "debian/wxbanker.install" (the name should correspond to your package name in debian/control), and added these two lines:

hooks/source_wxbanker.py /usr/share/apport/package-hooks/
hooks/wxbanker-crashdb.conf /etc/apport/crashdb.conf.d/

so it is just a simple file where you specify the source and destination. Very cool stuff, this will make wxBanker much more useful, thanks again!
