Bug Description

It is possible to install Wubi offline from a CD or and ISO.
Now that Wubi installation supports disk images, offline installation of this format should be implemented.

This doesn't work with relative paths, but neither does isopath at the moment. Filed as bug 863269.

Great idea - the images are a couple hundred megs smaller than the iso, and once unpacked the 'install' is alot faster then the iso install. - GREAT for testing.

Having said that, is there any difference (other then the known bugs like EXT3) between the image 'install' and an ISO/CD install?
drivers, programs, accounts wise?

ps. I added a rather lengthy comment to Evan's bug 863269 with a few suggestions to the furtherment of Wubi...
In a nutshell, add 32-bit versions to the 'Desktop Environment' combobox list along with any local isos and images that were found (and show if they were verified), and also allow the user to specify a path to their own disk/image if it wasn't detected.
