Wubi installer fails with "Permission denied"

When trying to install Wubi, I get the message "Permission denied".

Check that your firewall is not blocking pyrun.exe.

Alternate method of installing: download the ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso yourself and store it in the same folder as wubi.exe before running.

When using Wubi, the installer will attempt to download the installation media using the bittorrent protocol. This might be a problem if you're using a network which doesn't allow torrents to be downloaded.
