Bug Description

I have now experienced, that after I had run an update from Ubuntu.
Then Ubuntu would not boot up, but instead the computer starts over again.
I chose Ubuntu, and the computer starts over, and over again.

This has happened to me twice this month.

First time when running update witch includes boot 2.0 (what I can remeber)

And second, running update enviroement ( image.......numbers 26) and gnu grub 8

Now I will not spend time on setting up Ubuntu programs and adjustments, because It will probaly
disapear again, when the next update comes in.

I really like Wubi/Ubuntu, but it is teasing me. Wasting my time.

I asked this question on Ubintu, and (action.....can't rember the rest of the name) replied that I should ditch Wubi and make a live cd.

You really should focus on Wubi, and get this working. Because it is the fastest way to get Ubuntu.

It is difficult for dummies like me to make a live cd. I had made a live cd before (Ubuntu 9.0), but it is a complexed task.

If you would like to spread out, the good vibes(vibrations) of Ubuntu to the world of less experienced (zappers), like me.

Then made this Wubi stable, compatible with Ubuntu upgrades. and let it be user/granma friendly.

Perhaps Wubi developers should have more dialog with Ubuntu developers.

Mayby Wubi and Ubuntu developers could get inspired from, how Apple uses bootcamp.
To have Windows 7 and MacOs side by side.

Compatibility is the future!

I used wubi installer, to install Ubuntu 10.04.1 (30gb). My computer is an amd 1.6 hertz, 765mb ram, nvidia graficscard, wired netconnection broadband.

Oh I almost forgot. Just before my system cracked. The Ubuntu updater asked, if I would like to install the new gnu grub on my harddisc. And I replied yes be leaving the box unchecked.

After that both windows and Ubuntu, could not boot up.

I'm writing this on another machine.

Oh! happy day........... oh happy day.......

From above the start of this thread. His name was actionparsnip. He was very kind and helpfull. But I am not very good at solving the problems myself. He posted something from Omars blog, it helped me understanding the issue, but it is difficult for me to solve.
