Wubi not visible after install XP

Bug Description

After installing Wubi and rebooting there is no Wubi. On reboot there is no option to choose from and after windows is booted there is no Icon of wubi on the desktop. I see a Ubuntu folder but thats it.

Downloaded today; tried to install on a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Laptop, 1.6 Ghz Windows XP 2002 'family' SP 3.
No partition was created as I believe it should have. No choice for boot between both systems. XP completely ignores installation. By trying to re-install, wubi informs that allready installed.

See if there is a C:\ubuntu directory, partitions are not created since wubi install within a file (C:\ubuntu\install\disks\root.disk)
There might be an issue with your setup when writing to C:\boot.ini, you should see a wubi option therein, or it could be a boot timeout issue
