Bug Description

I have a MacBookPro5,5 using Boot Camp to dual boot Mac OS X 10.6 and Windows 7. Wubi appears to work very well until the system reboots into the Ubuntu installer. Under my system, the installer hung at 7% ("Scanning disks...") for over thirty minutes while the slideshow went on below. This issue exists with Wubi included in the Ubuntu 9.10 Beta.

Additionally (although I don't consider this a bug against Wubi, or even Ubiquity), I wasn't able to go into text mode as the installer automatically picked en_US as my keyboard and not the Apple keyboard, therefore no combination of the Ctrl, Command, or Option keys would go into a text terminal - maybe I was doing something wrong?

Wubi Windows logs are attached. casper.log did not exist in Windows, nor did installation-logs. Had to shut down manually as install did eventually hang (w/o GTK progress bar movement or slideshow switching).

reboot and let the install start again you will hopefully find that it completes and works the installer is a bit erratic at the moment it is being looked into and will hopefully get resolved.
