Bug Description
I have Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop CD and a Xubuntu 9.04 .iso image file. The Xubuntu 9.04 iso image file were placed in my USB Portable Hard Disk drive's root directory.
Firstly, my USB Portable Hard Disk drive was plugged in into my computer. Then, I insert the Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop CD into my DVD-RW drive to install Ubuntu. Then the CD autorun. I click on "Install inside Windows", then the autorun program launch the Wubi inside the CD. I'm sure that the selected distribution is Ubuntu. I entered my desired user name and password, then follow the on-screen instructions. After that, I restart my computer.
In the Operating System choice menu in Windows MBR, I saw "Ubuntu" under Windows XP. I selected Ubuntu. Surprisingly, I saw the Xubuntu boot screen, instead of Ubuntu boot screen. My computer boot into Xubuntu installation instead of Ubuntu. Then, the Xubuntu had been unexpectedly installed.
To solve this problem, I have to unplug my USB Portable Hard Disk drive, which consist of Xubuntu iso image file in its root directory, then I manually uninstall Xubuntu and remove the whole "Ubuntu" directory then reinstall Ubuntu again.
I hope that Wubi developers can fix this bug.
Can you please attach the Wubi log? Is in the user temp folder (%temp%)
