Bug Description

After initial configuration of Wubi from within Windows is complete, a restart is required, everything before this works fine. After selecting "Ubuntu" from the list of boot choices, usplash comes up and the progress bar begins to move, about 60% of the way across, it stops. The computer does not change after 3 minutes, at which time I shut it down forcefully. If booted using verbose/modifying the grub boot line, there is no splash and Ubuntu successfully boots.

I am currently running a Gateway MT3705 (x84 system).
Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex kernel 2.6.27-4-generic

*update*
After updating Intrepid to kernel 2.6.27-5-generic at 10:30 EST, Oct 5th.
Progress bar goes further, but still locks up system.

Syslog... for anyone who wants to look through it. Trimmed down sections after system was running.

Can you boot with quiet but without usplash?
What happens when you have break=init with quiet and usplash (you should get into a terminal)?
