Bug Description
<Build: Hardy 20081604>
<Environment: Window$ XP Clean Install>
Summary:
Wubi does not add a Start Menu item after install. Most Windows users will look to the Start menu for their newly installed Ubuntu information. We should definitely put an item there for them to get info on the install and how to access the new install.
Steps to Reproduce:
1) Launch installer from in XP
2) When install completes reboot into Ubuntu
3) After Ubuntu side install completes reboot back to Windows
4) Expand Start menu
Expected result:
Ubuntu has an item there with info and uninstall link
Actual result:
No Start menu item

Will be considered for next release. Pros and cons though. Cons:
1) Windows menu suffers badly from apps pollution... I, for one, do not like unnecessary items in the overcrowded list, and appreciate discrete applications.
2) People will start asking for a wizard page to select the menu name/group (as other installers do), and I am against adding anything to the GUI unless absolutely necessary (which is hardly the case here).
