Bug Description

"No kernel modules were found. This probably is due to a mismatich between the kernel used by this version of the installer and the kernel avaiblable in the archive.

If you are installing from a mirror, you can work around this problem by choosing to install a different version of Ubuntu. the installer will probably fall to work if you continue without kernel modueles.

Continue the install without loading kernel modules ? yes/ no".

I recieve the message:

 /bin/sh:dpkg:not found

I have stored the install logs in a floppy disks (hardware-summary, install-report.template, lsb-release, status, syslog) if they can be usefull.

Regards.

Pedro.

P.S.: I tried to install Ubuntu-7.04-alternate-i386.iso . Now, using Wibi I am downloading Xubuntu (if there is problems I am going to use Kubuntu, Edubuntu, UbuntuStudio and so on).

Oh sorry, didn't see you had this problem during install :/
I will let someone who's working on Wubi answer you. BTW, current Ubuntu stable is 7.10. I read you use 7.04 ....

I would like to see a button in the Ubuntu Install to select the ISO to download (not only the flavour), to pause and resume download and to download more than one ISO at the same time.

There would be interesting also indicate how the user can download the ISOs from the official Ubuntu website and use them with Wubi (in which directory move them).

Thank you a lot for the help and tries.

Pedro.

Pedro can you please try Wubi 8.04 and report any issue related to that?

Tried Wubi 8.04 alpha and added bug related to "error 13" (Googling, I have seen this error in more users).
