Installation crashes on Vista Ultimate 64-bit

Operatin System: Window Vista Ultimate 64-bit
Executable Downloaded from Sourceforge: Wubi-7.04.04.exe

Ran this application and received and received a message box that said "Windows based Ubuntu Installer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I have same problem with wubi 8.04 rev495.

Wubi 495 requires the Desktop ISO, not the alternate one. Remove the existing ISO and Let wubi download its own ISO.

ok, i remove the alternative iso, but installer still crashed.

I have the same problem on my vista x64 system.
I posted a question related to this issue in ubuntu forum,
but didn't get answer yet.
Please post solution if anyone solved this wubi

I have reinstalled Vista K Ultimate x64 and installed wubi works fine. That's weird.
Before reinstalling vista, I used windows vista x64 ultimate with korean language pack and wubi crashed.

I had forgotten about Wubi. I just installed the latest version and the installation went fine on Vista Ultimate 64-bit.
