Bug Description

I downloaded lubuntu-14.04.2-desktop-amd64.iso and tried to use wubi to install it to my machine. However, after selecting "lubuntu" in the drop down box, the installer ignored my iso and proceeded to download lubuntu-14.04-desktop-amd64.iso instead.

Wubi was an old project used only for demonstration; and is no more maintained nor used.
Using Virualbox (or the likes) is an easier way; or doing a real install for true experience.

There are two different issues:

) Rev.286 contains file isolist.ini for 14.04: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-installer/wubi/trunk/view/286/data/isolist.ini

Same issue for 14.04.1: https://bugs.launchpad.net/wubi/+bug/1367071

) lubuntu-14.04.2-desktop-amd64.iso does not contain casper/vmlinuz, it contains casper/vmlinuz.efi. So we need

kernel=casper/vmlinuz.efi

in file data/isolist.ini for [Lubuntu-amd64], too.

A similar change was made in rev.281 for Edubuntu: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-installer/wubi/trunk/revision/281

I added my branch which contains a bugfix for this topic. It is part of a submitted revision: https://code.launchpad.net/~hakuna-matata/wubi/upstart/+merge/259318

The latest trunk activity is two years old now; meaning that project is no more maintained and abandonned
