Bug Description
--- Minor bug & wish---
Hello,
I have noticed that many programs making use of the systray, shows another logo/icon when using Ubuntu instead of ElementaryOS. Often the icons used on Ubuntu are only white (without any colors), whereas the same application on ElementaryOS might show another version of that icon, but in colors. Often these colored icons are not very nice to look at compared to their white counterparts (of course that's subjective, but the colored ones doesn't fit well with the icons designed for ElementaryOS).
I know that this might sometimes be hard-coded into the application, however, I suspect that it also often is just a matter of exposing another variable to these applications, so they use the white icon instead.
I think the black/white icons for elementary os are very cool. However, I think it ruins the "immersion" when I have an application running in the tray with a colored icon. I thought maybe adding an option to grayscale icons appearing in the systray (wingpanel), so that the icons seem more streamlined.
In the first image, the smiley is missing from Ubuntu. Just added that in here.
