dropbox and mega icons do not display

I installed Dropbox. But the Dropbox icon does not display on Wingpanel like it does in Ubuntu. Same case for Mega. But the Dropbox daemon is active since it showed notification for the completed synchronization of all files. Also, on checking on the command-line, dropboxd is active.

I'm facing this problem too, how did you manage to open megasync?
Any progress in fixing this bug?

The issue is on Dropbox side - Dropbox only uses libappindicator when in Unity.
It can be fixed by going to the System Settings -> Applications -> Startup and setting up dropbox to autostart with this command: "env XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=Unity dropbox start".

As I said, the issue is with Dropbox, not with WingPanel, so there's not much there can be done other than this...
