Bug Description

Menus from the notification icons at the right side of Wingpanel (power/logout, notification, sound, etc.) are initially rendered such that the menu is drawn partially offscreen. Once the animation is finished, the menu bumps over so that it fits within the screen. Instead, the animation should end with the menu in the correct position, without the discontinuous jump at the end.

Hmm, it appears that this bug affects new windows in general. I think it may be limited to the case of having a second monitor attached, and possibly is only an issue when the second monitor is positioned to the right of the main desktop. This makes me think this is a gala bug, but perhaps someone who knows better can confirm/adjust?
