Handle changing Network Interfaces

Bug Description

It seems like the indicator does not properly handle network interfaces beeing removed, so when I disconnect my docking station from my laptop, the ethernet disconnected icon sometimes appears, even though I'm still connected to my wireless network, and the ethernet adapter is now compleatly unavailable.
When plugging the dock back in, it goes back to displaying the wireless icon, and correctly listing the wired, disconnected adapter.

This only happens sometimes, I have not yet been able to figure out what exactly makes it happen, but I'll report back once I know more.

So what's the problem excatly? The indicator displays an ethernet interface which is not present on the system (i.e. you don't have an ethernet port anywhere on your computer, dock or usb).

That is weird, I can't reproduce. Can you check with "ip a" that the interface is really gone from the system?

Can't seem to reproduce it for now, but it never was consistent in when it appears, I'll keep an eye out for it in the next few days and when it happens will definitely check the ip config and report back. If you don't hear anything, consider it resolved by some kind of update ...

I am experiencing this with docker (similar to #1579183) and virtual interfaces. When I run `docker build .` it adds another interface, but seems to remove it after it completes. The switchboard and icon then appear to only have one wired ethernet connection, but the icon still appears to be offline.

I don't thinkg this is an indicator issue.

If I run ifconfig, I can still see one of the virtual interfaces. And, oddly enough, when I run iwconfig, it lists the virtual interfaces and mention that they have "no wireless extensions."
