Thank you for using Ubuntu software. After using your usb drive to boot/install Ubuntu, to revert back to a normal USB drive, you can do one of two things.

In Ubuntu Linux, you can install and run gparted, and use it to delete and reformat the partition(s) on your USB drive in any format supported by Linux (fat16/32, NTFS, Ext2/3/4, etc).

In Windows, you will need to download and install the "HP usb disk storage format tool". You can find numerous links by copying the term within the quotes and pasting it into google.com search. This utility should also reformat the drive, but it may have some limitations, and is not supported here.
