Image Writer fails to start on Windows 7 System

I just installed Win32DiskImager, and it fails to start. My disk light flashes and a process appears for a short time, but I never see a splash screen or application window. This is the first time I have installed Win32DiskImager, and I have never gotten it to work. I removed all removable media from my machine and also tried a restart. I have no raids or ramdisks. I find this message in Event Viewer
