Bug Description

I have used this utility several times on this same computer using 64GB San Disk UHS-I cards with no problems at all. But when trying to write a Raspbian image to my new Patriot LX Series 128GB card I immediately get an: error 21 Not Ready error.

I'm running the Util as Admin and have no other apps open or accessing the card at the same time.

Thanks!

Not an easy thing to reproduce, as I don't have any 128G drives for testing. Please remember though that this program was originally written for Windows XP 32bit and tested (at the time) on <4G USB drives. I have since tested on 16G and 32G drives, but nothing larger.

I bought and tested with a 128G drive, as I had the same thought.. Worked fine, although it was not a true reproduction of the bug, since it wasn't a Patriot LX drive.

So, it's not *simply* the fact that it's a 128G drive.

Later, I switched machines and tried writing the Patriot 128Gb card in my Moneual MonCaso - which has a SDXC adapter built in. The operation completed without error on that machine.

So the bug appears to be with the adapter in my "Gaming Rig". It has an add-on multi-purpose Dynex DX-CRD12 adapter that fits in a 3 1/2 floppy bay.

This is likely an issue with the Dynex adapter and/or drivers. I have seen a lot of issues from other users that seem to resolve by using a different reader. I wish they were all created equal, but they're not.

Closing this bug as resolved.
