Bug Description

My Windows 7 system has this subst list.
C:\> subst
E:\: => C:\EDRIVE

When I launch Win32 Disk Imager I get a dialog box with this message:
An error occurred when attempting to get a handle on \\.E:\.
Error 5: Access is denied.

After dismissing the dialog, the application works normally.

A little annoying, but not a show-stopper.

I'll look into this as soon as possible. Likely similar to the other Error 5 issues we have been seeing.

For this to be resolved on our end, we will need to add code that can detect and close other apps that have an open connection to the selected device (other apps appear to have this capability). Need to figure it out in the APIs and code accordingly.

I think part of the issue may now be resolved. I reworked the code that mapped logical->physical drives. Still need to do more testing.
