Bug Description

Problem solved!
Bought a USB SD card reader.
Plugged it in.
inserted sd card
Win32DiskImager 4.0 wrote Raspian-Wheezy to the SD card.
It did take some time, but it wasn't a week of head-bashing!
I think the problem was with my built-in card readers (PC and Laptop).
Aftermarket USB reader worked great! I'm not the first to deliver this news, but we should spread it because a number of people are getting frustrated.

Thanks for the update.

Can you verify that 0.6 works with the external reader as well?

It's frustrating on both ends, because I can't reproduce these problems. Without seeing the problem, I can't figure out what's wrong.

But you think that the problem lies with the driver/controller for built-in readers? I wonder what the difference between them and built in USB ports (for flash drives) might be...

I'll try 0.6 again with the external card reader and let you know (I can
post it).
I really can't say what the difference is between the built-in and
external/USB card readers is.
I did note that the drivers on my computers go back to 2000-2004 ish. I
recently updated my WinXP, but there were no new SD drivers that I could
see. Exploration continues!

Not really sure what the bug here is. Is it that it doesn't work with your built-in reader? What OS? Latest drivers?

Keep me informed.
