Bug Description

Formatted SD card as FAT32.
Running Windows XP.
Found that I could load IW 0.4 and it would recognize my SD card (E:) (Sandisk 8M high speed)
Loaded my .img file into IW 0.4. (Raspian Wheezy, cuurnt from Raspberry Pi Downloads)
Gave "read command" first. It went off and did something as in a previous post.
When returned, I gave the "write" command.
Progress occurred.
GUI said "done" in lower left corner.
Windows explorer shows the drive as empty.
I tried it without using the Read command first, and it was still empty.
Re-installed everything, and still nothing shows on the disk.

PS:
I tried each release from current back to 0.4.

which is not quite accurate.
When I have the drive and the .img input and then do Write. It says not enough room on disk.
This after all files re-extracted and SD card reformatted.

Problem solved!
Bought a USB SD card reader.
Plugged it in.
inserted sd card
Win32DiskImager 4.0 wrote Raspian-Wheezy to the SD card.
It did take some time, but it wasn't a week of head-bashing!
I think the problem was with my built-in card readers (PC and Laptop).
Aftermarket USB reader worked great! I'm not the first to deliver this news, but we should spread it because a number of people are getting frustrated.

Another solution.

I was having the same problem as well as getting the error 1 message. I downloaded Win32DiskImager 5.0. I still received the
error1 massage, but it did install the program on my card. It ran fine.

Mine ran great after I used an add-on USB SD reader/writer to install the
Raspian image.
Had a little trouble getting my RPi to get onto the internet, but finally
got it to work.
My next task is to successfully download software and install it. Used
app-get with mixed results,but
I think it's my Linux ignorance. I'm studying it now. That should help.
Thanks for the feedback.
