Bug Description

Wiithon should provide a button to shutdown the wbfs disk before unplugging them from the computer. This will help prolong the life of drives.

I suggest a button that:
1. syncs all data so nothing remains on disk buffers
2. sends "suspend" to /sys/bus/usb/devices/<usb-device>/power/level
e.g. echo suspend > /sys/bus/usb/devices/1-4/power/level

You can find more information on shutting down the disks here:

Hi:

Does this work without root, or only with permission r/w on /dev/sdxX?

I don't know if this works without root, I always sudo to execute the commands. Maybe you can set the signal using a dbus to service that has permission. Tip: You can check how nautilus "ejects" usb disks
