In fact this is not a bug but a cwiid feature not packaged yet for your GNU/Linux distribution.

Did you use Ubuntu? Ubuntu 10.10 maybe? I've been hacking for a while including packaging cwiid along with nunchuk_mouse plugin.
As you can see i've commited a Nunchuk Stick Mouse.wii file so, after installing those cwiid debian packages, you can test with Wiican, and it's works rather well.
