Bug Description

I get the follwoing crash when starting widelands in both build16 and current bzr:

Graphics: Try to set Videomode 1280x1024 32Bit
Graphics: Could not set videomode: No video mode large enough for 1280x1024
Graphics: Trying without opengl

Caught exception (of type '11_wexception') in outermost handler!
The exception said: [/build/buildd-widelands_16-1+b3-amd64-5W278C/widelands-16/src/graphic/graphic.cc:142] Graphics: could not set video mode: No video mode large enough for 1280x1024

This should not happen. Please file a bug report on version build-16(Release).
and remember to specify your operating system.

Deleting the configuration is a workaround. To reproduce: Start widelands, set resolution to max, exit. Then start widelands on a device not supporting the previously set resolution.

This bug is rather annoying: It appears each time I want to play widelands on my notebook without an external minor attached, when I've started widelands with an external monitor attached before.

Hi, I suspect this is a duplicate of bug 704637. Are you running Widelands in fullscreen when this happens?

Yes, this is in fullscreen mode. Sorry for not noticing the other report before.
