in-game options can not be changed in-game

Bug Description

The in-game options can not be changed in-game. They can only be changed in Fullscreen_Menu_Options, which is not accessible in-game. To change an in-game option, the game must be saved and quit. Then one must go to the Fullscreen_Menu_Options, change the option, apply and load the game again. This workaround does not work at all in a network game.

I don't know if that's related (but it sure sounds like something related), but apparently translations are not taken into account either. When I select another language than english in the main options screen (before I start a game), it still remains all-english (in the latest svn revision, checked out about 5 minutes ago).

i'm currently working on getting options working in game. might be a little while before it is finished since just accessing the options menu doesn't work (the way full screen menus work isn't compatible with a running game)

removed from build17-rc1 -> we need to release Build17 quite soon to get internet gaming support back in debian and debian based distros, this feature takes quite some time to implement, but is not really a "we should have it in build17"

I personally would reconsider this. Most modern games do not allow to change resolutions in-game anymore because it often means reloading or even rerendering part of your cached graphics. I do not see why we should support it.

Though changing resolution is cheap for us - as long as it does not change the bpp or the rendering engine.
