I can't reproduce this without effort - was there any specific sequence of events in between?

There must be a circumstance where whether the map needs saving isn't marked properly, and we need to find out where this happens.

Ok, i think i found the thing:

1. Open the editor
2. Open one of the tools and use it. One click on the map is enough. (Tested to trigger the bug: Change height, set Terrain, place Immovable/Animal)
3. Save the map
4. Try to exit

Now the editor shows 'The map has not been saved yet'. It makes no difference if the opened windows are closed between step two and three.

I can't reproduce the initial bug report so far (trigger the bug by just doing the mentioned three steps). But i am sure i had this behavior because i do always test several times to be sure it can be reproduced. Maybe i didn't closed widelands though.
