Bug Description

(Originally reported by Fruit on IRC):

Running % widelands --dedicated='/usr/share/games/widelands/maps/Checkmate.wmf' on Ubuntu 12.04 with build18 from the stable build PPA will cause the following seg fault/stacktrace:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

I had build 18 on Ubuntu 13.10 at hand so tried with that, but wasn't able to reproduce it (I did get some other seg faults when not specifying a map file or pointing at one which didn't exist, but those are likely unrelated issues.) It seems like ./widelands --dedicated='maps/Atoll.wmf' worked without any problems for me though. I haven't checked with the PPA build on 12.04 yet, but will do so when I get the time...

(Reminded me first of bug 1128114, but might be unrelated?)

I have since had time to test this myself, but I haven't been able to reproduce the issue. I installed the package from the stable PPA, but it started the dedicated server without any problems. This was the i386 version of 12.04. We probably need some more information to see how this happens in order to track it down...

I don't know. I was never able to reproduce this one. Without more information we are unfortunately unable to do much with this issue.

(I will file a seperate bug on core dump when the specified file name doesn't exist though.)
