strange vertical lines during gameplay

Bug Description

The game draws vertical lines from top to bottom in the screen. It is possible to 'play' with the lines, making them wider and narrower by scrolling the screen around a bit. The error survived a save/load cycle.

It appears that the lines have the colors from a fortress to the north. In an earlier game the same error has occurred where the lines seemed to be related to a farm above the screen center (not saved).

Small correction: the lines are not related to a fortress, but seem to originate from a tavern.

Thanks for reporting.

I'm completly puzzled by this and can't remember seeing anything like it before. I see it here too, so whatever it is, it persists in the save game. I don't really know what the cause might be, but I note that the color of the lines are suspiciously similar to the roof tiles of the tavern...

Marking it as Low Importance since this is the first time we know of anyone has triggered it, though it definitely looks like somehting which should be fixed. Again thanks for reporting, because this looks like something we might not have heard about otherwise. :)

I can't see it using the same version, Win 7 64-bit using ATI Radeon 2600 Pro. I tried it windowed and maximised. Do you see it straight away?

Would someone post a screenshot? If only for historical reference :-)

The savegame starts at this postion with the error visible in the screen, at least at my system (Kubuntu 32 bits, opengl, rest unknown).

The effect appears at approximatily x-coordinate 121 in the first screenshot, with an y-coordinate somewhere around 104. The effect In the second screenshot is also not close to the wrap around.

If you conquer some more buildings in the attached savegame, you can see that the tavern with the same x-coordinate as the line is being enhanced. Once the constructionsite is visible (not under fog of war), the line dissapears.

The savegame no longer loads in the current development version of the game. However the whole graphic rendering system for OpenGL has been redone, so I believe that this problem might have been fixed.

Setting to incomplete for now. Please speak up if you saw the problem recently.
