Bug Description
As mentioned in bug 963802 (particularly comment #8) it is now possible to destroy a ship, but we do not have an animation for this. It would be nice to have some graphics to display this.
Not critical, so targetting towards build19 for now, though if someone provides a good suggestion it would of course be nice to get this into next build.

As of rev. 6719, the code is complete and a proof of concept (an ugly one though) was added to the atlantean ship.
For now I defined the sinking animation to be 3seconds long, but this can be changed with one integer change in source code :)
See tribes/ atlanteas/ ship/conf for how to add the sinking animation (fps=7 is only set because of the bad gimp created animation I did ;))
