Bug Description

Hi there and thanks for the best game ever,

the Black in attached save (blackWall.wgf) found a perfect way to protect his land.
He placed two military buildings to completely block the path in and out of his land.
There is no way to pass those buildings, thus he is safe forever.
He is even blocking an attack on his eastern neighbour.
The Black might complain his attacks fail either, but that is his fault, isn't it? :-)

Workarround to avoid such situations:
- Quantum tunnelling for soldiers through any building.
I assume any kind of building can do the job to block the route.

System:
self compiled release 17
Linux Mint 13 KDE
Thinkpad T61

This is somewhat related to the stuck soldier problems #730070, I guess.
(How would I link such bugs here?)

Yes, looks like the black player has effectively sealed off the border completely. Ideally I think there should always be some way for soldiers to walk past these buildings, but I don't really have any suggestions for how to do that in practice.

let's see what I've learned bug 782744

A deeper look to his left shows how to turn plowshares into swords or the other way round. :-)
A Farmer blocks that way.

Is there a reason, why soldiers can't move through or jump over buildings?
Maybe you can provide some hints where to look into code to find soldiers path finding algorithm.

This is a duplicate of bug #566970. We're going to fix it by changing the logic that determines where buildings can be built.
