Bug Description

This is a wishlist + a proposition.
3g modems market is growing very fast and is already very big... and the lack of wicd to being connected through them can keep away many people that would like to use wicd but can't (like me for example).
Could be a way that wicd uses wvdial + wvdialconf to set connections like 3g modems for example? as i understand, wvdial could help the PPP support needed in wicd.
A while back, Lubuntu could not handle 3g connections, so this http://forum.phillw.net/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=92 was pointed on the mail-list. It helped me to stay connected at that time. I think maybe you can get some ideas from there.
Another thing: wvdialconf is unable to "see" the modem without the package "modem-manager" installed.
I just hope this can help on improve wicd.
Good luck and thanks for the good app!
