Bug Description

Distro: ArchLinux x86_64 (fully updated as of 2010 / 01 /21)
Version: extra/wicd 1.7.0-1

I only get this error when running wicd-curses from a console (Ctrl+Alt+F*). If I run it from a terminal (roxterm, gnome-shell, etc) it works just fine.

When python-urwid got updated, wicd-curses stopped working in both places (though with totally different traceback). When arch upgraded to wicd-1.7, it fixed it in terminal, but console now shoes this NEW error.

I have attached the log and traceback.

This is not a bug in wicd-curses, but a bug in urwid. The urwid developer already has a fix in his code repository, and it will be present in the next urwid release (as for when that is going to happen is unknown to me)

As a workaround, please install (and enable) gpm on your system.
