Bug Description
Personally, I find the "Connect" menu upon clicking the sys-tray icon to be far too short to be useful. By default, it seems only 2 networks appear in the list, and the list doesn't seem to do the best job at locating itself.
I've attached a screenshot for what I am currently seeing. I currently have 8 wireless networks within range, and having only 2 appear in the default menu doesn't make sense from a usability standpoint. It might be nice if the menu recognized the number of networks, and generated a decent sized list for selection.
I think network manager does this exceptionally well, of being able to click the app, and being able to clearly identify the network you are after, without having to bring up another dialog box:
