status bar says it's connecting to the previous AP when connecting to a new AP

Bug Description

I'm running wicd 1.6.1 on Debian testing/squeeze. If I decide to change to a new wireless network and click Connect, the status bar in the main window will say I'm connecting to the previous network, when it should say it's connecting to the new network. This doesn't hinder any functionality, it just looks weird. Look at the attached PNG I have provided. In this scenario, I was connected to 'Amber-Chris.' I decided to switch to 'khans' and when I click Connect under 'khans' it will (as you can see) say "Amber-Chris: Obtaining IP address" for a few seconds and then when it successfully pulls an IP it will say "Connected to khans at blah blah."

This is because we're pulling that essid from the backend (i.e. the output of iwconfig), which will show up as the previous AP you were connected to until we reach the point in the connection process where we input the new essid. I'll need to think a bit about the right way to fix it, though.

hi:)
Dan, i believe that the 'correct' (or to me logical) behaviour would be to stat: "connecting to <new essid>". where the <new essid> would be the one presented on the button user clicked-this might be trivial to fix. i dont know python unfortunately, but i like wicd project so i think i ll try to take it up to be able to help.
great work this wicd ;) have a nice day, mark
