Bug Description

I do the following:

1. Connect to my network (eduroam), using the wicd gtk client. Note that "Automatically connect to this network" is ticked.
2. Turn off wifi on the wifi hardware switch.
3. Turn on wifi on the wifi hardware switch.
4. Wicd does not autoconnect to eduroam. It just does nothing.

This is wicd.log:

(this is the part where the connection from step 1 is established)
2012/07/31 14:30:08 :: bound to 10.16.253.134 -- renewal in 1372 seconds.
2012/07/31 14:30:08 :: DHCP connection successful
2012/07/31 14:30:08 :: not verifying
2012/07/31 14:30:08 :: Connecting thread exiting.
2012/07/31 14:30:08 :: Sending connection attempt result success
(now I have some fine internet)
(now I switch the switch to off)
2012/07/31 14:30:15 :: attempting to set hostname with dhclient
2012/07/31 14:30:15 :: using dhcpcd or another supported client may work better
2012/07/31 14:30:17 :: attempting to set hostname with dhclient
2012/07/31 14:30:17 :: using dhcpcd or another supported client may work better
(after this. nothing happens. I wait 10 more seconds and turn the switch back on. Nothing happens)

I would expect that wicd reconnects to my network.

Why is it not doing that?

Thanks!

I have the same problem after resuming from standby. wicd.log:

2012/08/02 12:52:09 :: Connecting thread exiting.
2012/08/02 12:52:09 :: Sending connection attempt result success
(going to standby here)
(resuming from standby here)
2012/08/02 13:55:44 :: Autoconnecting...

But it does *not* autoconnect: It does nothing.
