2010-11-20 16:55:29 Zack Buhman description The idea is that you just start whyteboard (provided you have python 2.5 through 2.7 installed, which is common in most linux distributions, and easy for Windows people) and that it automatically installs wxpython if the user asks/agrees (because wxpython is less-common). Operating Systems: - Windows (Mostly tested, requires python/whyteboard to be run as an administrator) - MacOS (whichever versions python 2.5-2.7 support plus what wxpython supports) - incomplete: no idea how to install a dmg silently - Ubuntu "Gusty" through "Lucid" (Maverick probably works too, it's just the wxpython site didn't say so; all it'd amount to is uncommenting line 69 (coincidence?); dapper and edgy could be enabled if it's decided that 2.8.8.0 and 2.8.6.1, (respectively) are sufficient. - Debian Etch and Lenny - openSUSE 11.1-11.3 - Others would be easy to implement, if this bug is approved (and I'd be happy to work out bugs). Processor: - i586+ GPU: - Does whyteboard even use a GPU? Python: - Version 2.5 through 2.7 (Note 2.4 might work if it were enabled for dapper through intrepid as the corresponding wxpython package exists) Wxpython: - Windows: 2.8.11.0 - Mac: 2.8.11.0 - openSUSE: 2.8.11.0 - Ubuntu Feisty: 2.8.9.1 - Ubuntu Gusty: 2.8.9.2 - Ubuntu Hardy + Intrepid: 2.8.10.1 - Ubuntu Jaunty - Lucid + Debian Etch - Lenny: 2.8.11.0 The idea is that you just start whyteboard (provided you have python 2.5 through 2.7 installed, which is common in most linux distributions, and easy for Windows people) and that it automatically installs wxpython if the user asks/agrees (because wxpython is less-common). Package Managers (Linux): - zypper - yum - apt-get - emerge - urpmi Processor: - openSUSE: i586, x86_64 - Ubuntu: i386, amd64 - Gentoo: alpha, amd64, hppa, ia64, ppc, ppc64, sparc, and x86 - i586 in general is a good idea GPU: - Does whyteboard even use a GPU?
