Bug Description

Reported by Meliza

Lifespans (e.g. 1870-1920) are displayed on RTL pages as 1920-1870.

i.e. reading right-to-left, we have birth-death.

Meliza says that it would be more natural for these separate items to be combined into a single (LTR) phrase and rendered in the other order.

We should see the Gregorian and Julian lifespans also on RTL pages as we see them on LTR pages, as 1870-1920.
Now we see them as 1920-1870 on the RTL pages.

Adding around the lifespan causes the years to be displayed correctly.

However, it breaks the tooltips on each year.

Adding around each year appears to trigger a bug in chrome, which causes one of the years to disapper.

In a recent email, Meliza tells me that the current behaviour is widely regarded as correct (if not by her!).

In which case, we can close this.
