Bug Description

I noticed from http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/26741/ that Ubuntu.com should query the browser for a preferred language and automatically redirect to the appropriate-language site.
Well as i said in Idea #26741, it isn't working for people living in Italy, France, Germany (i asked people on IRC).
Checking better i noticed that the redirection only works for the download of the .iso of Ubuntu.
If Ubuntu really should query the browser for a preferred language and automatically redirect to the appropriate-language site. (example: French user goes to Ubuntu.com then is redirected to ubuntu.fr) it isn't working. Anyway, would be better to ask the user if he agrees to be redirected somewhere else.
If the plans are to redirect only the download of the .iso of Ubuntu i think this is a problem because doesn't let the user choose. (Isn't said that if i'm living in Italy i'm Italian and want to download Ubuntu in Italian language)
A drop down menu in the download options section (http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu/download) that let's you choose the language would be much better, this would be freedom :) .

The ubuntu.com website is not localized, and there is no plan to localize it. Nor will users be redirected to websites that are not maintained by Canonical. There is a plan to provide a small localization bit with a link to further resources in a users language. Marking invalid.

Ok,
Not even the download of the .iso on the download page is localized? .
