Visiting a Launchpad bug page zooms and opens keyboard

When visiting any Launchpad bug page (probably like this one), the browser magically zooms to somewhere on the top of the page and opens the on-screen keyboard. Keyboard input doesn't seem to have any effect, especially not in the "Add comment" text box.

Observed on "Image Based Updates"-image 20130913 and earlier cdimages.

I can’t observe this issue. I’m testing on maguro with version 6 of an ubuntu-system RO image (flashed afresh today).

On my Nexus 4 this is 100% reproducible.

More details:
* Visiting a bug page by a link, the history or the URL field triggers the bug immediately.
* Clicking the reload button while being on a bug page does not trigger the bug immediately. It takes a 1-2 seconds delay.
* Changing the application and changing back to the browser hides the keyboard and zooms out, but scrolls the page to the left, sometimes so far that you don't see any content anymore, only white.

i've seen this behavior before where the page will auto zoom for some reason. I'm not seeing it on the Launchpad page though. Need a reproducible case so we can try and debug

I just noticed that it only happens when you are logged in, and thus the "Add comment" text field is visible, so I guess it's related to that field.

Right now I'm on cdimage 20130919.

This is not a bug, Launchpad autofocus the search field when homepage is loaded so it's normal to see the keyboard.

Focussing the field might be useful on a desktop, but not on a mobile device when this means the keyboard opens. It doesn't even zoom to the field, and it zooms in way too far. Not sure if the keyboard input even reaches the field (and I can't try right now because the browser crashes with an error). And the scrolling thing when going back etc etc.

I consider this a bug in every respect.

Since we switched to oxide, there is no auto-zooming to the currently focused text field, so I believe we can close this issue.

Note that whether or not the field is auto-focused on page launch is entirely up to launchpad, this is not something the browser should decide to ignore.
