Thanks! I've moved the manpage from debian/ to data/ and added code to setup.py to install it; I've commited this to a new branch: lp:~rainct/webboard/dev

In a successive commit I also remove the debian/ directory altogether, as it is usually not something wanted in the upstream source. But feel free to reject this commit if you want to keep it there.

Ah, forgot to say that a manpage for webboard-applet is still missing (if this is supposed to be an executable).

Thanks to both of you for theses patches. I merged Siegfied branch since it's the more up to date and I was also willing to remove the debian directory.
I don't think webboard-applet needs a man page. You won't normally execute it since applet can't add themselves to the panel (you are forced to use the panel menu to add them).

Thanks, Olivier!

About webboard-applet, does it really need to be in /usr/bin then?

(Setting the Ubuntu task back to 'Triaged' - 'Fix commited' means that a package fixing this has already been uploaded to Ubuntu).

Not really it seems. I looked a bit on how other applets do and they place the applet in /usr/lib/<app>. I have modified webboard to do the same.

This bug was fixed in the package webboard - 0.2.2.1-0ubuntu1

---------------
webboard (0.2.2.1-0ubuntu1) jaunty; urgency=low

  [ Taken from Debian NEW ]

  * First upload to Debian! (Closes: #517079)
  * New upstream release.
     - Submitting something with language "Plain Text" works now (LP: #332666).
     - Add a manpage for webboard and install webboard-applet into /usr/lib
       (LP: #329563).
     - Allow to change the username, and improve the graphic interface.
     - Use a GtkSourceView, which can highlight the code.
  * Update debian/copyright and improve debian/rules.
  * Add Homepage field to debian/control, and set myself as Maintainer.
  * Add a debian/watch file.
  * webboard-applet: Add "/usr/share/webboard/" to the path.
