Bug Description

I've just installed Indicator-Weather version 11.11.28 Cloudy 9 on my Ubuntu 11.10 installation. No icons are being displayed with the temperature, in the pulldown menu, or the forecast. I've tried changing from google to yahoo and they still don't work.

Could you please attach logs from ~/.cache/indicator-weather.log?

The problem seems to have been with the gnome icons set. After a re-install of the gnome icons, I now have icons for indicator-weather. My problem has been fixed.

Glad to hear this, closing the bug as Invalid as not related to the indicator

This package should depend on gnome-icon-theme-full.

I'm running Xubuntu 12.04, and gnome-icon-theme is installed by default (not gnome-icon-theme-full), and no icons are displayed for me. Once I manually installed gnome-icon-theme-full everything works perfectly.

(Well, except the sunset data is wrong, but that's a different bug...)

gnome-icon-theme-full does not exist on Debian and having gnome-icon-theme installed is not enough.

Also, when "cloudy", the icon is the "panel" is broken (it displays a white icon with a red cross in the middle).

Can we have a

apport-collect 983100

from terminal for getting needed information here.

At best from a Ubuntu12.10 developer version, but 12.04 final would be o.K

The Ubuntu package 'gnome-icon-theme' does not provide any weather-related icons.

Ubuntu packages which do provide appropriate icons (there may be others, these are the only ones I have installed currently) are:
'gnome-icon-theme-full' 'humanity-icon-theme' 'ubuntu-mono'

The "High Contrast" and "unity-icon-theme" themes also provide appropriate icons, but I do not know what packages they are from.

So, what should the dependencies be? Or should things be "Recommended" instead?

FWIW, the third-party themes "Faenza" and "Faience" also provide appriopriate weather icons (I am using Faience, so until stumbling across this page I was unaware of this dependency issue)

Added dependency added for gnome-icon-theme-full, and rewrote the debian/postinst script to properly create the necessary symlinks, so I'm marking this fixed.

If someone still has issues, they can reopen it.
