“indicator-weather” 11.11.28-0ubuntu1 does not show weather

I've tried using indicator weather and it does not show me the weather for (some) South American cities. I've tried more than one.

Attempted workarounds:
-I've tried several solutions put forth such as deleting the cities and reselecting them.
-I think I even trashed the preference file but nothing has worked on Precise or the Oneiric.
-refreshing does not help

Comments:
I believe it worked for a while on Natty.

You should look at my-weather-indicator to see what they are doing correctly because I have few problems with their app, but I'd prefer not to use a PPA repo.

ERROR - ExtendedForecast: unknown Google weather condition ''

ERROR - Forecast: returned empty forecast ,,,-36606640,-72103443

Yahoo didn't fair any better but I don't see any errors associated with it.
