Bug Description

So I'm here in central Europe, and it's 8:43, which the time applet shows just fine, but weather indicator thinks it's an hour later, showing the moon while the sun already set (i.e. Showing the time of the sunrise one hour later than it actually is at this place, I looked up the correct time).

Confirmed. Seems that Weather Indicator calculates Sunrise and, possibly, Sunset time incorrectly

I have a similar problem with more than 2 hours difference between real sunrise/sunset and what is displayed in weather indicator.

In Tomsk, Russia we have Omsk time (OMST, UTC+6 in winter and UTC+7 in summer).

For example, today 23 Jan 2010 indicator displays Sunrise 10:35:38 AM and sundown 06:29:33 PM. If we look at http://www.gismeteo.ru/city/daily/4652/ we can see the real sunrise was at 08:32 and sundown 16:31. So I guess you have 2 errors - 1) wrong timezone for Tomsk and 2) wrong algorithm of sunrise/sundown calculation because times are totally different. You can also see sunrise time in google: http://www.google.com/search?q=sunrise+Tomsk

BTW why time is displayed with AM/PM? I have 24 hours clock format in my system everywhere.

Out of curiosity, which version is this bug fixed in? I am using Cloudy 8, and it is doing the same thing here in the U.S. Perhaps it is reading standard time, and not accounting for daylight savings time?

This should be fixed in latest version from PPA - 11.05.31. Please, change the state of the issue, if this is still reproducible for you

I am running 11.05.31 'Cloudy 8' according to the About box, and it is still an issue for me.

I attempted to change the status, but cannot seem to. All options are greyed out.

Yeah, still an issue in Cloudy branch. This is already fixed in Foggy branch, as we are using different sunrise/sunset time provider
