Bug Description
It would be nice to have the basic "iconic" information for other locations visible in the pulldown without having to modally select them, similar to the way the Gnome 2 / Unity Clock pulldown supports multiple locations. It would also be helpful to have separate "Show forecast/details" and "Select for display in panel" options (the first possibly by clicking on the 'iconic' summary or as a tiny target to preserve the basic radio-button behavior).
(I thought an older version of the Gnome 2.x clock actually did provide _exactly_ this as far as the display goes, but I can't seem to find a screenshot quickly. Perhaps it was only ever on mouseover.)
This sort of rapid access is, of course, very useful when life involves regular travel between locations, or when coworkers are heading to a different site and asking.
It also occurs to me that alerts for certain conditions at other locations (probably with a persistent notifier) would be useful - for instance a "!" appears in the indicator, and pulldown will indicate that it's raining at home in case you left the windows open. Note the way Android handles the 'log-structured' notification UI with times etc., which could be a nice way to handle that.
Hope I haven't overlooked an existing wishlist bug for any of this.
