Bug Description
Imagine the enemy is attacking you with a grunt, and you have no grunts. You take 3 peons and attack the grunt. They could have killed the grunt, but instead, they run away and get killed by him.

Yeah, issuing an attack command should override a peon's cowardice.
Did peons run away in vanilla? Or is the coward attribute a Wargus addition?
